Building practical technology products that solve real problems in education, schools, and daily life — combining software, robotics, IoT, and AI from Nepal.
A builder who ships things that actually get used.
hat drives the work is deceptively simple: real problems, real tools, real impact. Not side-projects for a portfolio — products deployed in Nepali schools, used by students, maintained by teachers. The Smart Attendance System marks 400 students daily. HamiIT has students passing exams they'd otherwise fail. Yeti greets visitors at Devotics with a locally-running LLM that doesn't need internet.
The unusual part is the range. Most engineers choose a lane — frontend or backend, software or hardware, product or platform. Ishan did not get that memo. A morning might start with a Flutter UI, move through a NestJS API, and end with an ESP32 sketch for a new sensor integration. That breadth is not accidental. It is the only way to build complete systems end-to-end in a market where specialists are expensive and generalists who can actually ship are rare.
“Technology should reduce friction, not create it. If the system requires training to use, you failed the design problem.”
Devotics, the company, started as a robotics workshop company for schools. It became something larger — a school-tech platform, a hardware lab, and now an education infrastructure provider. HamiIT runs alongside it, digitizing the chaotic exam-prep culture of Nepali higher education into a structured, measurable learning system. Both ventures are bootstrapped. Both are operational. Neither is done.

32 capabilities across software · hardware · ai · education
Two companies.
Both bootstrapped. Both live.
HamiIT
Ace your exams. Actually understand the material.
Nepal's first structured exam-prep platform for BSc CSIT and BCA students. Repeated questions, subject-specific drills, and a live code execution sandbox — so students stop memorizing and start thinking. Thousands of questions, curated by students who passed the exams first.
Devotics
Where schools get smarter — room by room.
Robotics, STEAM, and school-technology company based in Kathmandu. We build Smart Attendance systems, parent apps, canteen POS, library management, and bus trackers — all under one platform schools can actually afford and teachers can actually use.
How the work
actually gets done.
Discover
Start with the actual problem — not the assumed one. Interviews, observation, and existing-system audits before a single line of code.
Design
Systems first, interfaces second. Architecture decisions made early save weeks of refactoring. Wireframes exist to test assumptions, not to sell designs.
Build
Ship early, ship often. Working software over comprehensive documentation — but the documentation still gets written.
Deploy
Vercel for web, custom servers for hardware. CI/CD pipelines, environment configs, and real monitoring — not just a live URL.
Teach
Knowledge compounds when shared. Every product comes with documentation, workshops, or a student who can maintain it independently.
